The Mid-Autumn Festival is also called the Moon Festival. It traditionally falls on August 15th in the Lunar Calendar.
The Mid-Autumn Festival is similar to Thanksgiving in the US. People travel far and near to reunite with their families. After the dinner feast, the family gathers together to enjoy a cup of tea and moon cake while appreciating the biggest and roundest moon.
The kids at CWBM have been enjoying the stories and preparing a craft project for today. They will also bring home a moon-shaped sponge cake today.
A friendly reminder that after a busy day today, don’t forgot to look up and see the moon tonight with your loved ones!
